Today is the day! Name Wrapper is live.
This is the biggest change/new feature to ENS ever (I think). So many possibilities, the next few months on Twitter should be exciting with tons of experiments going on. Hopefully some communities start doing some really interesting things with them, which we can all learn from.
Crazy timing that I’m on vacation while all this amazing news and changes are happening in ENS. Trying to keep up with everything as much as I can. But I can say for sure the amount of great and valuable tweets I’ve been saving to feature is so much higher in the last week than it has been since I started this newsletter.
And I suspect this is only the beginning. Excitement in the community is back, tons of activity among Web3 players, like Coinbase and the 1Confirmation Web3 fund (who invested $2mil in ENS Vision).
Everything seems to be looking very positive, and I’m here for it!
In the last few hours both Coinbase and OpenSea have had posts mentioning ENS domains. If there’s one thing that remains true regardless of this market it’s that ENS continues to be essential to the space

Microsoft and Shopify integrating ENS is a major milestone
ENS is already endorsed by countless brands/companies, celebrities, investors, tech visionaries, and individuals

Within a couple years no one will care about your blue check or gold check.
Your credentials will be your ENS name and your blockchain address.
Your username will be your ENS
Your password will be your signature proving you have control over the private key to that account.

At one point, no one had a smartphone & then a few ppl had one & it was looked at as a novelty - something you really didn't need but useful to have if you had the money. Now practically everyone has one including Grandma
